We’re Steph & Amy—two longtime graphic designers, moms, business partners, and now, somehow, baristas & coffee shop owners.

After 15 years in the graphic design world, we watched our industry change in ways we never could have imagined. With AI and new technology reshaping what it means to be a designer, we started asking ourselves, What’s next?

The answer was something we already loved - coffee - and something we felt our favorite little village of Fishkill needed: a coffee shop!

We wanted to create a space that felt like us—bright, colorful, creative, a little funky, and a whole lot of fun. So in December 2024, Hot Stuff was born.

Since opening, it’s become so much more than we imagined. It’s a place for great coffee, good conversations, familiar faces, and regulars who have become friends. We intentionally don’t offer Wi-Fi because we want Hot Stuff to be a place where you put your phone down, stay awhile, and actually hang out. Most of all, it’s become the living room of our community—a place to slow down, catch up, and feel a little more at home. And we’re pretty damn proud of that.

We believe coffee should be good, but it should also be fun. So we’ll keep dreaming up ridiculous drink names, making things a little sweeter, playing good music, putting our own spin on things, and probably laughing way too loudly behind the counter.
